Sprout — Privacy Policy

Effective 12 August 2026 · Applies to Sprout, listed on Google Play as “Sprout: English for Kids” · Android package edu.language.tplus.sprout

The short version. Sprout does not ask for a name, an email address, or an account. It has no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind. What a child learns in Sprout stays on the device and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Who we are

Sprout is an English-learning app for children, published by an independent developer. Questions about this policy can be sent to tuan0990@gmail.com, and we aim to reply within seven days.

What we collect

We do not collect personal information. Sprout has no sign-up, no login, and no user profile. Specifically, the app does not ask for, access, or transmit:

What stays on the device

Sprout keeps a record of learning progress so a child can pick up where they left off. This is stored only in the app's private storage on the device, and it is never uploaded.

WhatWhy
Words and sentences practised, and the reward gardenSo progress persists between sessions
Which content bundles are installed, and their versionsSo the app knows what is playable offline and what has an update
The downloaded bundle files themselves (pictures and audio)So the app works without a connection

Uninstalling Sprout deletes all of it. There is nothing held on a server to delete, because none of it is ever sent to one.

What leaves the device

Sprout makes network requests in only two situations, and neither one sends personal information.

All network traffic uses HTTPS encryption in transit.

Advertising and analytics

Sprout contains no advertising. There are no ad networks, no interstitials, no rewarded video, and no sponsored content. Sprout also contains no analytics or crash-reporting services — no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Sentry, no third-party measurement SDK of any kind. Nothing in the app profiles a user or targets content based on behaviour.

Children's privacy

Sprout is designed for children and is intended to comply with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) including Article 8, and Google Play's Families policy.

Because Sprout collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children. There is therefore nothing for which verifiable parental consent would be required, and nothing disclosed to any third party for advertising or any other purpose.

If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through Sprout, please contact us at tuan0990@gmail.com and we will investigate and delete anything found.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information, because we do not hold any. We do not disclose information to advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers. We would disclose information only if compelled by valid legal process — and in that event there would be nothing personal to hand over.

In-app purchases and external links

Sprout currently offers no in-app purchases and no subscriptions. The only link out of the app is to the Google Play listing for Sprout, shown when an update is available.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Since Sprout holds no personal information on any server, an access or deletion request has nothing to return or erase. On-device data is fully under your control and is removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in Android Settings.

Data retention

We retain no personal data, so there is no retention period. On-device learning progress is kept until the app is uninstalled or its storage is cleared.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Material changes — for example, if Sprout were ever to add purchases or any form of data collection — will be described here before they take effect, and the app listing on Google Play will be updated to match.
